Today at our noon meeting, we recognized Donnie and Karla Bachmeier for their many years of dedication to Camp Rokiwan. For the past 11 years, they have served as the camp’s caretakers, but their connection to the camp runs much deeper. Karla attended Camp Rokiwan as a child, and it will always hold a special place in her heart. Donnie shared that he will miss watching the sun rise over the lake—a truly million-dollar view. On behalf of the Jamestown N.D. Kiwanis and Jamestown Rotary Clubs, thank you, Donnie and Karla, for everything you have done for Camp Rokiwan.

 I grew up on a farm in Britton, SD, and graduated from Jamestown College now the University of Jamestown.  My husband, Mike, and I moved back to Jamestown in 2007.  We have three daughters, Macey, Makayla, and Maryn.  I have worked at Gate City Bank for almost 25 years and currently I’m a mortgage loan officer.  We enjoy following our kids with their various activities and attending NDSU football and basketball games as often as we can! 

 

 

 

I help my brothers operate our family farm…we are the third generation. 

 

I have traveled to Ireland, Scotland, and England.

Favorite Book: Do sports programs count….that’s all I have time for right now!
