Jamestown Rotary Club

Join us for our weekly meeting at Club 1883 at noon on Tuesday, September 29th.  This week we will be hearing from Laura from Dakota Central.

Happy Dollars for a Cause

From time to time we are going to designate a community organization or special fundraising campaign to donate our weekly Happy Dollars.  October 8th we will designate the Happy Dollars to go towards the David Smette Memorial Plaza at Nickeus Park.

On 10/24/26, World Polio Day at 10 a.m. CST, Rotary members across Region 36 – Zones 25 & 29 are coming together for something BIG — a bold, unified step toward a polio-free world.

We are calling on 36,620 Rotarians and 964 Rotaractors across 11 states and 2 countries to take part in the World’s Largest Polio Walk — a powerful, visible demonstration of our commitment to ending polio forever.
This is more than a walk. It’s a movement.

Every step taken helps raise awareness and support our collective goal of raising $1 million to end polio. Together, we are “This Close” to eradication—and this is our moment to push across the finish line.

The Jamestown Rotary Club will be participating in this walk at Nickeus Park.  More details to follow.  Walkers are encouraged to wear their Rotary Gear.

District 5580 Convention Oct 2-4, 2026
The District 5580 Convention was held at Cragun's Resort near Brainerd, MN October 2 - 4, 2026.  As the Jamestown Club President, I attended the conference as our Jamestown representative.  I was able to meet with fellow Rotarians from around the district seeing a few familiar faces and making connections with some new ones.  A lot of discussion surrounded growing membership, increasing current member involvement, and the Rotary Youth Programs. I attended workshops titled "The Art of Gathering," "Steady Leadership in Changing Times," and Membership.  Next year's District Conference will be held in Detroit Lakes, MN.  I would love to bring more attendees from our Jamestown Club next year so we are able to attend more of the great break-out sessions to bring information back for our club.
